Although the word “peeling” brings to mind the peeling process, carbon peeling is a procedure performed using Q-Swichted Nd-Yag laser. It is used for the removal of blemishes on the skin, tightening of pores, irregular oiling and treatment of sagging skin. This method, which can be applied in summer and winter, is very effective in tightening the pores and balancing the oil release.
How is it applied?
Firstly, the skin of the person is cleaned. If there is make-up, it is purified with alcohol-free solution. Then carbon cream is applied to the skin. The carbon cream used must be a very high quality, very good product. It should be neither too solid nor too fluid. After the carbon dries, the carbon is removed from the skin with Q-Swichted laser. When removing the carbon from the skin, each laser shot tightens the pores of the skin. During the time the carbon stays on the skin, it penetrates up to the dirt in the pore. Thus, the accumulated oil, sweat mixture and dirt inside the pore are cleaned by removing the carbon with laser light.
How Long Does It Take?
It is a 10 minute procedure. It can also be described as very fast skin care. However, the bio-benefits of the procedure are very high.
Angel Whitening – Hair Yellowing
Carbon peeling is usually performed together with a method called angel whitening. This procedure is applied if the patient has superficial spots on the skin. Angel whitening is a protocol that requires a special screen setting that can be performed with “Q Switched” laser. By using certain energies with certain heads, the melanin pigment on the surface of the skin is also opened. Thus, the skin is purified from the spots on its surface. The patient feels brightness and light on his/her skin in every session.
While doing Angel whitening, another application is applied to the patient. If the patient has fine quince hairs on the face, these hairs create extra darkness on their skin. This situation can be in blonde or brunette people. However, especially brunettes are disturbed by the extra darkness created by quince hairs. Especially brunettes prefer to lighten the colour of their skin in winter. Therefore, with Q switched laser, the patient’s hairs are also coloured. When the patient’s hairs turn yellow, his/her face looks much brighter. The colour of the face lightens. Angel whitening also helps to lighten the colour of the face.
How many sessions are recommended?
Usually 4 to 6 sessions are recommended.
Is it necessary to repeat at certain intervals?
If only carbon peeling is done, it is done every 15 days. If it is done for carbon peeling and spot opening, it is applied every 15 days. If it is done for feather yellowing, it is repeated every 2 months.
What should we pay attention to after the application?
After the application, sunbathing is suspended for a few days. It is recommended to use sunscreen regularly.
