Different types of laser devices are used in laser hair removal applications according to the characteristics of the skin and hair structure; Nd YAG laser, Alexandrite (two versions are available, Candela and Epicare) Diode next and Soprano ice laser are the laser types we use in our centre.

How Are Laser Types and Application Types?

Alexandrite laser: This method, which is generally preferred for light-coloured skin and dark-coloured hair, is widely used.

Nd YAG Laser Epilation: ND-YAG Laser, which is also used in very dark skin types, has a special cooling unit. This cooler part ensures the protection of the upper skin. It is more preferred especially in men’s facial area laser epilation sessions. The face area is the most difficult part of the body. Good results are obtained in this area with Nd YAG laser.

Diode laser and Soprana ICE Laser: This laser can be applied on all hairs as well as on thinner and lighter coloured hairs. It is gel, also called ironing laser. We have two diode lasers with ice heads in our centre. These are; Next diode laser and Soprano ice. Both are devices that can be applied on all skin types. Soprano can be applied continuously, especially in summer. It is also called ice laser. It is a comfortable laser epilation application that does not feel pain and pain. In Soprano ice laser, which can be applied to a larger area with its 2x1cm head, the session time is shortened accordingly. Soprano ice laser eliminates pain and pain by keeping ice on the application area with its special head. It is applied with gel.

Which Areas Can Laser Hair Removal Be Applied?

Laser epilation can be applied to the under arm area, genital area (sensitive area), bikini area, arm, leg, back, chest, face, nape and neck. Depending on the area, skin type and hair structure, different devices should be applied.

Is it necessary to use Pain Reducing Cream before the procedure?

It is a condition related to the pain threshold of the person. If necessary, creams with anaesthetic effect can be used. If it is applied half an hour before the procedure and the skin is covered with cling film, absorption is better. It provides comfort for people who will have the procedure.

How Long Does the Procedure Take?

It varies according to the region and device. For example, if some procedures take half an hour in Candela, they take 90 minutes in Nd:YAG. Nd:YAG’s head is small, the shooting area is narrow, the other is larger. However, the areas where both are needed are different.

The device is decided according to the hair and skin structure. After the procedure, control sessions are performed, and the device can be changed in case of hair loss and thinning. The number of sessions is also decided according to the skin and hair type of the person, but at least 8 sessions are recommended.

What should be considered after the procedure?

The treated area should not be exposed to water for at least eight hours after the procedures. Regardless of summer and winter, sunscreen should be used especially for the face area. It is necessary to start scrubbing and peeling one week after the procedures. Moisturiser should not be neglected. When moisturiser is not used, it causes wreckage. Laser is an application that dries the skin. It is therefore very important to moisturise the skin abundantly with intensive moisturisers.

Is it possible to get rid of hair completely after laser?
After your laser package is finished, it is useful to have a protection session once or twice a year. It is recommended to have one session each in summer and winter.

In what cases is it not done?

  • It cannot be performed on people under the age of 18. If there is a situation that requires action, the family must fill out a consent form.
  • It cannot be done during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Sessions can be started 6 months after the breastfeeding period ends.
  • There are some drugs that show sensitivity to light. It cannot be done to people who need to use them. During the first interview, you are asked what medications the person uses.
  • For people with very sensitive skin, a test is done on a small area and it is decided whether to continue the procedure or not.
